A range of flagship vehicles and modern solutions from the Wielton Group at IAA Transportation

The Wielton Group, one of Europe's three largest manufacturers of semi-trailers, trailers and bodies, will once again present its broad portfolio of modern vehicles and solutions at the IAA Transportation International Trade Fair in Hannover. The latest technologies and solutions are on display at this key event dedicated to the transport industry. Among the Wielton brand's extensive portfolio, visitors will be able to see, for example, the Recycle Master Slider hooklift trailer, the new version of the Scrap Master tipper semi-trailer, the Curtain Master Mega ro-ro curtains semi-trailer or learn more about the products and solutions from the Langendorf (Flexliner, SATÜ30 Smart, SKS-HS ISOXX tipper) and Aberg brands. It is also an excellent opportunity to talk to Group experts about the offer, the latest trends and the needs of carriers.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR TRANSPORT

One of the exhibitors at the biennial IAA Transportation is once again the Wielton Group. This major event dedicated to trends and innovations in road freight transport is an excellent opportunity to present the latest products, technologies and solutions in the industry to a wider audience, as well as to discuss current needs and the future of transport. - Looking back from 2014, when Wielton was present at the IAA for the first time, a lot has changed. WIELTON - EXPERT ON THE ROAD

At this year's event, the Polish manufacturer will present not only new products, but also its flagship products and solutions. The brand's broad portfolio includes high-quality products with multiple configuration options, and what sets the manufacturer apart from its competitors is its openness to create dedicated, personalised solutions depending on individual customer needs. In the process of developing new solutions, it pays particular attention to functionality, durability, safety of use and reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment.

One of the Wielton branded products that can be seen at the indoor stand No. E01 in Hall 27 at the Hanover Fair is the curtain semi-trailer Curtain Master MEGA with ferry holds (ro-ro). It is a semi-trailer dedicated to a transport by ferry, thanks to raised bumper beam and the additional elements securing the bumper against damage. Proper securing of the presented vehicle on a ship is guaranteed by the equipment in form of 10 ferry holds, with standard trailers of that type having only 8 of them. The base plate with an additional sliding sheet protects and strengthens the undercarriage, allows the trailer to be loaded on railway cars, using the Modalohr system. The product has a special floor made of 7.5t plywood, with an increased friction coefficient, so that the cargo can be better secured and the loading time decreased. In addition, a Hestal Cargo Master system of suspended belts is used inside the trailer. Another vehicle on display at stand E01 in Hall 27 IS the Recycle Master M3 Slider multi-waste trailer. This a hooklift trailer by Wielton, designated for the transport of roll containers (from 5m up to 7.2m long) in accordance with DIN 30722 standard. The vehicle chassis is made of high-grade, light and durable S700 steel. To reflect the movement of the hooklift device, a bent support frame structure is used in the trailer. The Recycle Master Slider model, which is an addition to the series of hooklift trailers by the Polish manufacturer, is equipped with a high-strength sliding truck. The use of this technology speeds up and facilitates the loading of the container and allows it to be put on the trailer even if the container rolls are damaged. In comparison with hooklift trailers with a straight chassis, the vehicle is characterized by an optimised lower empty weight.

The tipper family of the Polish manufacturer at IAA Transportation, which will be on display at the Wielton stand, will be represented by the Scrap Master tipper semi-trailer. The Scrap Master tipper by Wielton, with a steel load platform dedicated for the transport of scrap metal, has been created for operation in the most difficult conditions. In the new tipper version, the excellent rigidity of the body confirmed by MES calculations is provided by the new shape and type of the upper rim made of HARDOX 500 TUF steel. The large volume load platform, up to 62 m3, and the 12.07 m long floor allows the transportation of metals of various sizes and shapes. The use of wear-resistant materials in the structure makes the vehicle resistant to operation of loads with irregular, sharp edges.

- From Wielton's wide range of products, we will present at the fair those that fit in with current environmental trends. We will present vehicles dedicated to the recycle&reuse sector, namely a tipper trailer for scrap metal transport and a hooklift trailer. We will also show a multi-purpose trailer with a larger loading area, which, thanks to its wide range of applications, is dedicated to for road and ferry transport. Wielton's outdoor stand will showcase the Volume Master high volume combination and the Body Master. The product presented at the IAA fair Volume Master is based on the new IVECO S-WAY 4x2 and is designed for universal transport of high-volume goods, mainly for the automotive industry, food industry, or furniture industry. Due to the good manoeuvre parameters, the vehicle works well in urban distribution. Vehicle is equipped with the Drawbar Finder system, which is a modern solution designed to facilitate and speed up the process of coupling vehicles with trailers. That way, the driver has full control over the coupling process and can see the exact situation on the cabin screen. The configuration is completed by the RDC system, which significantly increases the safety and efficiency during reversing of vehicles with trailers. It uses a radar to monitor the area behind the vehicle, as well as the function of automatic braking to prevent collisions. In addition, in the structure of Volume Master, a series of solutions have been used to increase ergonomics. Body Master Wielton brand made on the Mercedes-Benz Atego 1224 L 4X2 in the curtain version is a vehicle developed for last mile logistics, which is perfectly suited for the transport of courier parcels. The vehicle is equipped, among others, with a loading lift with the lifting capacity of 1500 kg, a roof shifted from rear to front together with a flap and a PVC tarpaulin moved both from the rear and from the front. The use of a short tarpaulin brace facilitates its locking and unlocking and does not require tensioning of belts. The support frame made of robust S700 steel guarantees strength and durability of the structure, and the galvanized intermediate frame successfully secures the structure against corrosion. In order to optimally secure the cargo, the body has been equipped with 13 pairs of cargo fixing holds.

LANGENDORF – HIGH TECH ON WHEELS

Another Wielton Group company that will be presenting its solutions at this year's IAA Transportation is Langendorf. You will be able to get to know the brand's products at stand C02 in hall 27.

One of the Langendorf-branded solutions on display in Hanover will be the CITY-FLEXLINER SDT-18. This two-axle and double-deck vehicle meets the high volume and load space requirements for supermarket deliveries, while maintaining the vehicle's agility and manoeuvrability in urban traffic. With a load length of just 11,500 mm but on two levels, the vehicle can accommodate 42 europallets: 15 on the lower loading level and 27 on the upper loading level. Alternatively, 67 roll-off containers (820 mm x 720 mm x 1,800 mm) can be transported: 22 on the lower loading level and 45 on the upper loading level. The vehicle also has many environmental advantages. The SATÜ30 Smart presented here is a lightweight three-axle low-loader semi-trailer that has a loading length of nine metres, including the access ramp, and is suitable for both two- and three-axle tractor units. The modular design allows for a wide range of options so that Langendorf vehicles can be individually configured according to customer needs and requirements. The SKS-HS ISOXX tipper is a versatile vehicle that is suitable for transporting light bulk goods, heavy demolition materials or asphalt. The vehicle has an unloaded weight of 6,300 kg and up to 29.5 m3 of loading volume. The semi-shell body is made of durable Hardox HB 450 steel and can be optionally equipped with numerous features from an electrically sliding roof to versions with standard or customised load boxes.

Visitors to the IAA Transportation trade fair can find out more about the Wielton, Langendorf and Aberg brands from 17-22 September this year at stands E01 and C02 in Hall 27 belonging to Deutsche Messe AG, as well as at an outdoor stand.
