Effective fleet management today requires not only reliable vehicles, but also constant access to servicing and spare parts, as well as data analysis. Aberg – the Wielton Group brand responsible for comprehensive after-sales service – meets these needs. At IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Aberg Service and Aberg Connect are presenting solutions designed to support haulers at every stage of a vehicle’s life cycle. Visitors can explore the Group’s comprehensive range at indoor stand E02 in Hall 27 and in the outdoor exhibition areas K41 and M67.
- Modern transport today is not just about vehicles, but an entire ecosystem of solutions that support their users throughout their entire lifecycle. Together with the Aberg brand, we are establishing a consistent standard of after-sales service for Wielton Group products. Our offering comprises a range of tools and services, from premium spare parts and telematics solutions to servicing, roadside assistance, and the modernization and factory refurbishment of semi-trailers, which we are constantly developing.
– says Michał Skorupowski, Managing Director of Aberg.
Aberg Connect telematics not only monitors the vehicle’s location in real time and the trailer’s operational parameters – such as tyre pressure and temperature, data from the electronic braking system (EBS), axle load, mileage, and the power supply and battery status of the device – but also provides advance warning of the risk of breakdowns, giving you time to react. The solution utilizes advanced algorithms and so-called virtual sensors, where the risk of a fault is calculated based on data collected from the semi-trailer. Based on this analysis, the system sends out warning alerts. Data from the vehicle reaches operators via two channels. The Driver Mobile App (AMD – Aberg Mobile for Driver) shows the driver the current status of the trailer and any active alerts without the need to call the dispatch centre. The User Mobile App (AMU – Aberg Mobile for User) is designed for fleet managers, dispatchers and transport company owners. Both apps run on Android and iOS devices.
A comprehensive overview of the fleet is provided by the desktop version of the Aberg Telematics Portal (ATP), which is available in nine languages. The portal provides access to information including, amongst other things, a map, vehicles, vehicle-specific details, event history, system statuses, alarm configuration and the service book.
In the context of transport safety, the ability to monitor the load compartment in real time is of particular importance; in Aberg Connect, this is based on two complementary aspects. The first concerns the load compartment itself and involves an opening sensor that records every time a door is opened, with loading and unloading events being logged in the vehicle’s history along with a time and location stamp. The hauler receives an immediate alert whenever a door is opened unexpectedly. The second aspect, however, concerns the route along which the load is travelling. Geofencing allows zones such as depots, warehouses or terminals to be defined. This enables notifications to be sent when a trailer enters or leaves a given zone. The hauler can also define route corridors, which enable monitoring of whether the vehicle is following the agreed route. The system automatically detects an excessively long stop in an unusual location or vehicle movement at a time when it should be stationary. Taken together, this provides an answer not only to the question of where the load is, but also whether the transport is proceeding as planned.
Aberg Connect telematics can be fitted both to new vehicles rolling off the Wielton Group’s production lines and to semi-trailers already in service. The range also includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, which does not require the installation of a full telematics system. Furthermore, thanks to an open API, the ATP portal can integrate with systems already used by the hauler, such as TMS, ERP or dispatch software.
Vehicles manufactured by the Wielton Group are characterised by safety, durability and reliability, but their effective operation requires ongoing service support. Regular technical servicing, professional maintenance and rapid access to spare parts help to maintain high vehicle performance, minimise unplanned downtime and extend their service life. It is in this area that Aberg Service supports users of Wielton Group vehicles, providing professional technical support and a wide range of maintenance services relating to vehicle operation, diagnostics and repairs. Services are provided both domestically and abroad, meaning hauliers can count on support even whilst operating on international routes. The company is also expanding its range of modernisation and factory refurbishment services for semi-trailers, giving customers the opportunity to extend the service life of their vehicles and adapt them to their current operational needs.
Drivers of Wielton Group vehicles can make use of one of over 420 service points located across 30 European countries. The Aberg service network is divided into two service levels: Aberg Standard and Aberg Premium. The former comprises basic single-brand service centres, whilst the latter comprises advanced multi-brand service centres. This approach allows the scope of support to be tailored to customers’ needs and ensures they have access to servicing in key locations. Repairs carried out at an Aberg Service Centre guarantee the same quality as in new products. Various service package options are also available. The traditional service network is complemented by Aberg Mobile Service, the company’s own network of mobile service units, supported by the Aberg Assistance service. The brand also develops its partners’ expertise through a professional training programme and acts as a technical knowledge centre for service centres and customers of the Wielton Group. The whole operation is supported by modern IT tools, which streamline comprehensive service provision.
Aberg Service, in supporting both the service network and customers in maintaining high fleet efficiency, also offers access to premium-grade spare parts for Wielton Group vehicles. The brand is responsible for managing the supply chain and distribution channels, focusing on developing the parts portfolio and optimising delivery times. Sales are conducted through both traditional channels and via e-commerce, facilitating quick access to the necessary components. Furthermore, Aberg also offers the option of retrofitting vehicles in line with customers’ individual needs that arise during the service life of the semi-trailers.
